Unibet Open

Unibet Open Cannes 2013

We’ll be rolling out the red carpet this September as the Unibet Open celebrates its landmark 25th Edition with its first ever outing to the legendary South of France resort Cannes. Unibet players will feel right at home among the movie stars and the palm trees as they vie to take home the Unibet Open Palme d’Or against the stunning backdrop of the French Rivièra.

The glamorous Casino Barrière Le Croisette right on the waterfront will play host for the week to the familiar Unibet mix of poker, parties and gaming fun. Unibet players will be accommodated just a stone’s throw away from the casino at either the legendary haunt of the rich and famous, Hôtel Majestic Barrière, or the equally luxurious Hôtel Gray d’Albion.

Highlights Event schedule

The Main Event commands a buy in of €1,500 + €150 NLH and will play out over four days from September 19-22, with a cap of 450 players spread across two start days. The event will be live streamed on all four days, with visible hole cards  on the final table, September 22.

Aside from the Main Event, schedule highlights include the brand new €2,300 + €200 High Roller event, into which Unibet will be running satellites all week at the Casino Barrière Le Croisette. In addition to the regular satellites, Unibet will also be running Flash Satellites for both the High Roller and the Main Event – one-hand turnovers designed for those who like some extra excitement as they qualify.

Bad Beat Guaranteed Promotion

We’ve got a full schedule of side events to suit every bankroll should you be eliminated from the Main Event, but if you get particularly unlucky and are among the first players to bust out, we’re also offering an amazing consolation prize. The first five Unibet online direct buy-ins or qualifiers to hit the rail on both Day 1a and Day 1b will each receive a €255 + €20 Unibet Open satellite ticket for a free shot at qualifying for the next Unibet Open.

Legendary Hospitality

The famous Unibet hospitality will be stepping up a gear as well, with Welcome Drinks for Unibet players on the Hôtel Majestic Barrière’s pool deck on September 19 and the legendary Unibet Open Players’ Party taking place on September 21 at the Les Marches Club inside the casino.

With 24 amazing events now behind us, we have a lot to celebrate at this special 25th Edition Unibet Open. We look forward to welcoming you and enjoying la belle vie at this very special stop on Europe’s most exciting poker tour.
